09:00 – Excursion over Tashkent, one of the largest ancient cities in Central Asia, capital of Uzbekistan. In Uzbek, Tashkent means “the Stone City” and is also known as a city of striking contrasts. You will see both old and modern city. First, we begin with old part of the city:

Khazrat-Imam Complex including Madrasseh Barak-Khan (XVI c.); Jami Mosque (XIX c.); Mausoleum of Kaffal-Shoshi (XV c.). Madrasseh of Kukeldash (XV c.). Also in the library of Muslims Board of Uzbekistan you will be able to see unique copy of Koran (Mushafi Usmon), which was written in kufiy letters.

13:00 – Lunch time.

14:00 – Sightseeing of modern city: Navoi Grand Opera and Ballet Theater, Amir Temur Square, Mustakillik Square, People’s Friendship Square, Monument of Courage.

Transfer to the airport.

Flight to Bukhara.

Arrival in Bukhara.

Transfer to the hotel.

As mentioned in the holy Avesta book Bukhara is one of the most ancient Uzbek towns built on the sacred hill of spring time offerings put by Zoroastrians. The name “ Bukhara” is derived from Sanskrit denoting “temple, cloister”. This city was once a big commercial centre on the Great Silk Road:

Ark Fortress (VII-XIX); Mausoleum of Ismail Samani (X), Medrese of Ulugbek (1417), Poi-Kalyan Complex including: Minaret of Kalyan (XII), Medrese of Mir-Arab (XVI), Kalyan Mosque (XV), Taki-Zargaron Dome Bazar (XVI), Lyabi-Khauz complex (XVI-XVII), Chor-Minor Medrese (1807).

14:00 – Continuation of excursion.

Bahowutdin Nakshband memorial complex (XVI),

19:00- Dinner at Medrese Nadir Devon Begi with folklore show (by request). Overnight.

On the way visiting Imam Al Bukhariy mausoleum.

13:00 – Arrival in Samarkand and accommodation at the hotel.

14:00-19:00 – Sightseeing of Samarkand “The town of Blue domes”:

The history of Samarkand dates back to 2500 years and more from now landmarks dated back to the times of the Timur Dynasty and is of the same importance as architectural masterpieces of ancient Egypt, China, India, Greece and Rome.

Visiting Registan square including: Madrasseh of Ulugbek (XIV), Sherdor Madrasseh (XVII) and Tillya Kari Madrasseh (XVII); Gur-Emir Mausoleum (XV c.), World famous Samarkand bazaar – “Siyob”.

19:00- Dinner. Overnight.

09:00-16:00 – Sightseeing of Samarkand including:

Bibi Khanum Mosque (XV c.), Shakhi Zinda Mausoleum (XII-XVI cc.), Ulughbek’s Observatory (XV).

15:00 - Drive to Tashkent (350 km).

20:00 - Arrival in Tashkent and accommodation at the hotel.

20:30 – Dinner.

05:00 - Transfer to Uzbekistan-Kazakhstan border.

05:30 - Arrival, passing border customs procedures (about 1, 5 hour). Change of coach.

(There is time difference between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan 2 hours. For example, if in Tashkent it is 09:00 a.m., in Chimkent it is 11:00 a.m. In itinerary given local Kazakh and Uzbek time).

09:00 – Drive to Turkistan (300 km).

13:00 – Arrival.

14:00 – Visiting Mausoleum of Hodja Ahmad Yassaviy.

16:00 – Drive back to Tashkent (300 km).

21:00 – Passing Uzbek-Kazakh border. Transfer to hotel.
